As a writer of guided meditation for inner peace scripts one of the techniques I use to inspire their creation are lines from favorite poems. One of the poets that I really am a fan off is the Irish poet W. B. Yeats. His poem The Lake Isle of Innisfree was my mother’s favorite poem. In this poem there is a phrase “and peace comes dropping slow.”
Many people in the world are looking for some peace of mind except that there is no such thing as peace of mind where you are engaged with the sense of the separate personal self.

This guided meditation for inner peace recording and script is a fairly short, guided meditation. I like to add a lot of silence at the end of any guided meditation to allow you to abide within the “Peace that comes dropping slow.” It is within this wordless part of the guided meditation that you become available to the inner peace and harmony that is beyond the that comes dropping slow.

Welcome to this guided meditation, inspired by the beautiful lines of W. B. Yeats, who wrote, “And peace comes dropping slow.” This meditation invites you to explore the gentle arrival of peace, just as Yeats envisioned, and to let go of old disappointments, making room for new possibilities.
Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down. Close your eyes and take a deep breath in, then exhale slowly. Allow your body to relax, releasing any tension with each breath. Breathe in and breathe out. Breathe in and breathe out. Allow the breath to find its own rhythm. If thought come simply witness them and let them pass like clouds in a clear blue sky.
Imagine yourself standing at the edge of a magical island, surrounded by the soothing sounds of nature. The waves gently lap against the shore, and a warm soft breeze carries the scent of wildflowers. As you walk along a narrow path, you notice the vibrant colors of the flowers and the lush greenery around you.
The path leads you into a secluded glade, where the air is filled with the soft, gentle hum of bees. This glade is a place of tranquility, a hidden sanctuary where peace slowly drops like the morning dew. Find a comfortable spot to sit or lie down in the glade and feel the soft grass beneath you.
Focus on the sound of the bees, their hum creating a soothing symphony that relaxes your mind. Imagine that each bee is collecting nectar from your old disappointments, transforming them into sweet, golden honey. With each inhale, feel the weight of those disappointments lift from your shoulders. With each exhale, release them into the air, where the bees gently carry them away.
As the bee’s work, feel the peace dropping slowly into your heart, like gentle rain on a quiet morning. Trust the silence around you and allow yourself to be fully present in this moment. Embrace the stillness, and let it fill every part of your being.
In this serene glade, surrounded by the sounds of nature and the hum of the bees, open your heart to new possibilities. Feel the space that has been created by releasing old disappointments, and welcome the fresh, new energy that enters.
Take a few moments to sit with this feeling, to let the peace wash over you and settle deep within. Know that you can return to this glade whenever you need, and that peace is always available to you, dropping slowly and steadily into your life.

I recommend that you listen to this guided meditation by lying on your bed in what is called in yoga the savasana pose. This is the pose that is used at the end of most yoga sessions that invites deep relaxation. See savasana benefits here
Make it part of your everyday routine to engage with this practice. It works at levels beyond your intellectual understanding. With right intention you invite a deepening trust and allowing in the flow of Universal Intelligence through you. This is the unknow expressing through you in new ways.
