TAKE NO THOUGHT SERIES

An invitation to explore the liberating wisdom of the Master Jesus

This series, Take No Thought, explores one of the most quietly radical invitations given by the Master Jesus. His words in the Sermon on the Mount are often heard as moral instruction or spiritual comfort, yet beneath them lies something deeper — a direct challenge to the assumed authority of anxious thinking. Rather than presenting his sayings as commands to suppress thought or abandon responsibility, these reflections approach them as invitations into a different mode of Being, one rooted in trust, attention, and Presence.

When Jesus asks, “Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?”, he is not condemning intelligence but questioning the illusion of mental control. When he tells us to consider the lilies, he is not offering poetry alone but pointing toward a way of Seeing that is prior to projection. Throughout this series, familiar phrases are approached not as doctrines to defend but as experiential doorways into the transformation of perception.

Here, “take no thought” is explored not as passivity, but as freedom from divided attention. The contrast between anxious thought and the Mind of Christ is examined not as theology alone, but as lived orientation. The so-called carnal mind is considered not as a label of condemnation, but as a description of life driven by separation and self-preservation. Each article unfolds one facet of this inquiry.

Readers may begin wherever the teaching most directly meets their present concern.
